Reef Check Australia trains and coordinates volunteers to conduct reef health monitoring and community outreach.

In 2016, a global coral bleaching event resulted in the some areas of the GBR experiencing severe coral bleaching. Our teams visited sites between Port Douglas to the southern end of Queensland.

The weather is heating up again and that means its time for another round of survey trips. We have already been back to a handful of sites to check on recovery, but we need your help to ensure we can visit priority reef locations along the coast.

Your gift can empower community members to be reef champions through volunteer survey training, reef site visits, and community outreach to share information.
