On 31st August 2004, Jack passed away after a brave and strong battle with cancer (Neuroblastoma). He was diagnosed when he was 18, and passed away the day after his 21st birthday.
Being an adult with a childhood cancer, there weren't really many charities which Jack was eligible to receive assistance from. One charity who really helped us was the Childhood Cancer Association. They provided Jack and I a nice apartment in Glenelg to live in while Jack received most of his treatment at the Royal Adelaide Hospital (five hours from our home). This apartment was meant for families to stay in short term, but we were lucky enough to stay there for an extended amount of time.
To mark Jack's ten-year anniversary (in 2014), I would love to "shout out" and help give back to this generous charity who helped us so much. If you would like to shout a donation in memory of Jack, it doesn't matter how great or small, I would be very grateful.
